Raids / The Venomous Abyss / The Twin Fangs
The Venomous Abyss · Boss 6
The Twin Fangs
Two stationary bosses · resource managementBloodlust On pull
Difficulty
Vexhul (venom) and Ithraz (physical) don't share health and don't move. Everything applies Eternal Venom, a permanent stacking DoT. Too many stacks kills you, and the only way to drop stacks is to soak Ravenous Feast. Kill both close together, because the survivor enrages.

- 0:00Caustic Deluge: soak a globule each
- 0:03Venomous Emergence: kill the three spawns
- 0:06Coiling Ichor: drop it at the edge
- 0:08Ravenous Feast: your group soaks to drop a stack
Your job (melee)
- Watch your Eternal Venom stacks all fight. They never fall off on their own.
- Soak Ravenous Feast with your group to drop a stack. Never soak twice in a row (Feasted makes the second hit 800% worse).
- Kill the three Spawn of Vexhul fast. If one fixates you, aim its Corrosive Spit line away from the raid.
- Dodge the rolling waves during Stir the Depths. Each hit is another stack.
- If you get Coiling Ichor, walk to the edge and let the gore drop there (2 minutes, 50% slow).
- Two-target cleave is your best friend here. Keep both bosses even.
- normal Normal: Eternal Venom does massive damage and stuns at 11 stacks.
- heroic Heroic: Eternal Venom kills instantly at 10 stacks.
Abilities
- Eternal VenomenragePermanent stacking DoT. Only Ravenous Feast removes stacks, one per soaker per Feast.
- 5-second channel on Vexhul's tank that drops Caustic Globules. Each globule needs one soaker (ideally low on stacks) or the whole raid gets a stack.
- Unavoidable stack for everyone, plus 3 serpents in the middle.
- Spawn of VexhuladddodgeFixates a player and spits a line (Corrosive Spit) that applies stacks.
- Stir the Depthsdodge6-second channel with raid damage and rolling waves.
- Stone BreakertankRoar knockback, then slams that the tanks soak. A slam that hits no one hits the whole raid.
- Ravenous FeastsoakThree strikes split heavy damage within 14 yards. Each soaker loses one Eternal Venom stack and gains Feasted for 8 seconds.
- Coiling IchormoveShrinking damage circle that drops Congealed Gore when it expires.
- Uncoiled WrathenrageIf one serpent dies, the other gains 25% damage every 4 seconds.
- Toxic FumeshealRaid Nature damage every 2 seconds.

- 0:00Submerge: bosses swap sides
- 0:02Vile Flood sweeps the room
- 0:03Cross behind the beam early
- 0:06Dodge Sanguine Storm gore
Your job (melee)
- Find Vile Flood's direction and get behind the beam early. The area it has passed is safe.
- Melee moving to Ithraz's new side must cross the beam. Do it early.
- Dodge the Sanguine Storm gore globs and stay out of Noxious Slicks (+30% damage taken).
- Third Submerge: both bosses go to the middle and cast Caustic Rain. That's the hard enrage.
Abilities
- SubmergemoveBosses swap sides and leave Noxious Slicks (+30% damage taken while you stand in them).
- Vile Flooddodge14-second rotating frontal beam. Heavy ticking damage and fast stacks.
- Sanguine StormdodgeGore globs for 18 seconds. Each impact hits within 4 yards.
- Caustic RainenrageHard enrage after the third Submerge.
Retribution Paladin tips
- Divine Shield is a common answer to the third Feast soak on Heroic. You still lose a stack.
- Divine Toll and Wake of Ashes cleave both bosses if you stand between them. Keep them even.
Death Knight (Frost / Unholy) tips
- Anti-Magic Shell soaks Eternal Venom ticks and Toxic Fumes. Use it at high stacks.
- Icebound Fortitude is a solid pick for a Feast soak when you're high on stacks.
- Unholy multi-dotting shines here. Keep diseases on both.
Other roles (short)
Tanks
- Vexhul tank: stay in range (or Concentrated Spittle fires) and trade on Envenomed stacks. Ithraz tanks: alternate Stone Breaker slams.
Healers
- Heal around stacks. Players high on Eternal Venom take priority for Feast soaks.
